Above the Clouds

My philosphy

Mental health is rarely shaped by a single event. It is influenced by the relationships we've experienced, the beliefs we've developed, the roles we've assumed, our physical well-being, our environment, and the ways we've learned to cope with life's challenges. When one area of life begins to suffer, its effects often ripple into many others.

Therapy offers the opportunity to understand those connections—not simply to reduce symptoms, but to create lasting change.

I often describe therapy as opening the filing cabinets of your life. Together, we'll thoughtfully sort through the experiences, relationships, beliefs, identities, fears, and hopes that have shaped who you are. Some patterns deserve to be strengthened. Others may no longer serve the life you're trying to build. My role is to help you understand those patterns with curiosity, compassion, and clinical expertise so you can move forward with greater clarity and intention.

Meaningful transformation rarely happens in just a few sessions. While every person's journey is unique, I generally encourage clients to approach therapy as an investment in themselves over the course of three to nine months. This allows us to move beyond immediate symptom relief and address the deeper patterns that contribute to lasting emotional health.

Therapy is not about becoming someone different. It is about uncovering the healthiest, most authentic version of yourself that may have been hidden beneath years of stress, loss, expectations, or survival.

You don't have to navigate that process alone.
