Ascent Psychological Services & Wellness has officially had its door (and virtual door) opened for a year! I became licensed on June 4th, 2020, at the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. 2020 was such a unique time in the country (and world) and was filled with many shared experiences that the country went through together. I too felt fear, confusion, anger, sadness, and disbelief alongside with my clients as we all navigated covid, political divide, racial unrest, environmental concerns, violence, and the many other things that happened in 2020. I feel so fortunate to get the opportunity to work with so many amazing individuals. I truly get to see the human spirit up close and am blown away at how strong it can be. Here's to one year doing what I love, and to hopefully having the most challenging year of my career already under my belt ;)
